I saw a really funny show last Sunday, February 9, 2020 at the Baltimore Soundstage. The show in question? Stephen Lynch. Stephen Lynch is a comedic musician who has been around since the late 90s. Not only does he do funny songs, but he is funny without the music, too. He dumped on Donald Trump during a few of his songs, which I found absolutely hysterical! One song he does is called Little Tiny Moustache. The song is about a guy finding out his girlfriend is actually a Nazi. One of the closing lyrics is, “They say that love is blind, so how could I have guessed? But then again I met you at the Wagner fest”. When I saw Stephen, he changed it to “…but then again I met you at Trump’s inaugural address.” I almost peed myself laughing…and so did the rest of the venue. One thing I was slightly disappointed with was that he didn’t do one of my favorite songs, Special Ed. Wait…I know it sounds offensive, but as a person on the Spectrum, I find it amusing. Well, if you can’t laugh at yourself, right? After the show, I met the man himself, got a photo with him, and his autograph. He was a pretty nice dude. I didn’t interact with him that much, seeing as there was a line to meet him and I got that he needed to get to them. So all in all, I loved the show! It was probably one of the funniest “concerts” I have ever been to, and I am using the term “concert” loosely. He really left nothing untouched during the show…with the exception of special needs people. Maybe that’s for the best, though. Anyway, if you haven’t heard of Stephen Lynch, I suggest you check him out either in person or on YouTube. My advice, though? Check him out on YouTube first, and if he is playing in your area, check him out after YouTube’ing him. Thanks for reading!
