There is an idea I have been throwing around in my head for a while. I know in the past I said I should maybe write a memoir or autobiography. While that is still an option, I think maybe a podcast discussing my Autism would not be a bad idea, either. That way I could get my “real voice” out there and others could call in and relate.

My favorite thing about Autism, truth be told, is hearing other peoples’ perspectives. That goes for people on and off the Spectrum. I welcome hearing how Autism and other diagnoses impact people. Even stuff I do not have, like Downs Syndrome or Tourette’s or something. It’d be an outlet for people all across the board to share their stories and experiences.

Not to toot my own horn, but I think I am a damn good speaker and would love to get my voice out there for people to hear. I think people on the Spectrum need a voice. I’m not saying I am that voice…please understand that. But I think if people hear my story and can relate in some form, then maybe they will start to speak out as well. The more, the merrier.

I know I would have people…probably…calling in and telling me I am full of shit. That’s ok. I am prepared to deal with that. Hopefully, though, most people will have positive attitudes and understand what I am doing. Or at least trying to do.
So what do you think? Should I start a podcast? Feel free to let me know in the comments below. Thanks for reading!
