I have a few fictional characters I would love to have in my group of friends…although my friends now are already characters, so that’s another reason the fictional ones would fit right in. I would love to have Frankenstein’s Monster as a friend or at least acquaintance for starts. Like me, I feel the Monster is merely misunderstood and a victim of his surroundings. I also wouldn’t mind having Jack Skellington as a close friend. I like his style and growing up—and still to this day—Jack remains one of my favorite characters, if not my favorite, of all time. I think Jack is relatable so I think he and I would get along. Stitch from Lilo and Stitch would be another one. Like me in my younger days, Stitch is a party animal…and let’s face it. Who doesn’t like a good party? The only downside to that would be trying to teach Stitch enough English to get by in the mainland of the USA. I wouldn’t mind having Homer Simpson as a friend or just a person to go have a drink with occasionally either. I grew up watching Homer and his dysfunctional family and it is so comparable to my family that I think we’d get along just fine. Finally, I’d be lying if I said I wish the most lovable alien of all time was not affiliated with me. I am referring to the one, the only…ET. Let’s face it. ET’s fucking cute, ok? And he also likes to drink…except he’s a little bit of a lightweight. I think I would be the sane one of that group…and believe me, that’s saying a lot! Plus since Jack Skellington winds up with Sally and I am in a relationship with the love of my life and Homer has Marge, maybe we could commiserate and give each other relationship advice. I think I have some close friends—not many but some. Actually, the close friends I have, I can probably count on one hand. But I am very lucky and fortunate to have them. Of course, this is just theoretical. I know I will never have any of the afore mentioned as friends, but hey I can dream can’t I? So that’s it for this post. As usual, let me know what you think and who you would like to have as a friend or colleague. Thanks for reading!
