I absolutely love to travel! I especially love road trips. I have taken a few road trips in my life. I drove with my mom and sister from Vegas to Southern California. It was nothing but desert. It was absolutely incredible to witness nothing. No cars, no traffic, no pedestrians…just openness. It was surreal to see. One of my favorite road trips was from Baltimore to Sandusky, Ohio to go to Cedar Point. Cedar Point is the “Roller Coaster Capitol of the World” so I was like, geeking out. We made a pit stop in Cleveland to visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. OH…MY…GOD! THAT PLACE IS FUCKING INCREDIBLE! If you are a music fan…STOP READING THIS POST AND LEAVE FOR CLEVELAND…NOW! OK. If any of you took that seriously, I laugh at you. But seriously…the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame really is amazing. I thought we would spend maybe 2-3 hours, tops. No. We were there for FIVE HOURS! And never got bored! Anyway, back to road trips. We went to Hawaii (twice) and both times we flew into Honolulu. Well duh we flew! That drive would be a little long, even for me…not to mention impossible with all that water. Anyway, both times we were there, we went exploring. The first time we went, my family found this abandoned rope swing over the ocean. That was probably the highlight of the trip for us. For me, it was that and getting a tribal tattoo. We found the swing completely by accident. We were just driving, exploring the island and… “OOH! ROPE SWING!” The second time we went, we decided to island hop from Honolulu to Maui and stay on Maui for a week. This time, at my Aunt’s insistence, we did one of the most incredible things I had ever done. We got up at 3am and drove to Haliakila, which is a volcano on Maui. We watched the sunrise at 10,000 feet in the air…in the freezing cold! Watching the sunrise from below you is an experience I will never forget! My sisters and I went shark diving, which, for me, was the highlight of our 2-week trip. If you don’t believe I did this, I attached a link to the YouTube video I took with my GoPro. It was absolutely stunning being in a cage with sharks circling around you. This past June I went to Williamsburg, Virginia to go to Busch Gardens. It rained in the afternoon all 3 days we were there, but seeing as it was in the 90s everyday, the rain was a blessing! While there, we also did a Colonial Williamsburg ghost tour. I am fascinated by the supernatural, so that was a lot of fun for me! The next road trip I am taking is happening on Saturday, October 6. I am going to Kennywood in Pittsburgh with my godparents. Kennywood has been on my bucket list as a thrill seeker for a while and I am really looking forward to it!
