AUTISTICS VS “NORMAL”

OK. So I gotta put it out there. I HATE when people who do not have Autism pretend to understand what we go through on a regular, daily basis. You don’t…plain and simple. Hell, I don’t know what it is like for everyone on the Spectrum living day-to-day. I just know how it impacts me. Why should I give anyone else false hope by pretending to understand? I understand my diagnosis and mine only. I hate when I am having a shitty day and someone comes up to me and goes, “I understand.” No. Unless you live my life, you don’t understand. Don’t patronize me…or the rest of the Autistic community for that matter…by pretending to understand our lives. My take on the subject: Less is more. The less you pretend to understand Autism and how it impacts people, the more I respect you. Peace out!
